Having experienced this problem first-hand, we thought – what if we had a free service that cleverly matches you up with the right place and the right people? Something that gives you relevant results while you’re out and about. Something that lets you spark up conversations instantly.

Thats why weve built Roompal.

What is Roompal?

Roompal is a native mobile app that intelligently matches people searching for a room to rent, with people searching for a housemate. It aims to take the pain out of finding a flatshare by helping people find the right room and the right flatmates.

How does Roompal work?

Firstly you tell Roompal who you are and what you’re looking for: a room to rent or a new flatmate for your houseshare. We then show you a bunch of rooms and potential flatmates that we think are a good fit for you. If you hit ‘like’, they’ll then have the option to ‘like’ you back. The moment they do, we’ll fire up a chat for you to get talking.

Why can’t you search for rooms and flatmates on your website?

We’ve spoken to loads of students and young professionals, and everyone was crying out for a better way to search on their mobile. That’s why we’re starting with that. Our website will follow at a later date.

Can you guarantee I won’t be spammed?

We’ve designed Roompal with the aim of connecting real, like-minded people. We actively monitor all content to make sure fake property listings and profiles are spotted quickly, and removed.

Can estate agents list their properties on Roompal?

Yes, but we really want to keep things personal, so we only allow one advert per user at a time.

I’m looking for a room to rent outside of London

We’re focusing on providing a really great service in London first, and will be expanding to other major UK cities soon. If you would like Roompal where you are, let us know.

Do I have to pay to use Roompal?

No, letting a room or finding a flatmate through Roompal is 100% free.

Can I delete my account?
